Big B leads Bemidji to OT win over Minnetonka
"We call him Big B," said Miah Graves as he waited on the blueline for his championship medal. Big B is Will Bruestle, the tall forward whose overtime goal on a Brady Devescovi assist earned Bemidji the Geyer Signal Center Ice Classic Bantam championship Jan. 21 at the National Hockey Center. Graves notched 31 saves against a powerful and pass-savvy Minnetonka offense in the 3-2 win. Among the keys to Bemidji's victory was killing off a second-period 3-on-5 situation. Coach Fred Graves' team finishes with a 4-0-1 record, tying Lakeville North in a third-round game. Connor Ryan and Charlie Burton scored for Minnetonka, which finishes 3-2.
